Interior decoration and design of a 150m² house

“CONCRETE CUBE IN A GREEN SETTING”

Challenge number 1: Creating nobility for a vulgar concrete cube.

Challenge number 2: Giving style and warmth to a typical “architect’s house”, removing the fetters of “cubic”

Overcoming technical constraints and working on them like a made-to-measure suit: Our Mission …
Nestled in the central capital of Alsace, this vessel of concrete, steel and glass is well worth the detour.
One wanders through this house, eyes wide open to details, surprised by the unexpected …
Over and above the building’s architecture, it is the originality of the decoration, the made-to-measure fittings, the play on patterns and textures that surprise us in the style of this house. Here Gold and Concrete share the stage, smooth and matt surfaces combine easily with the graphic strength of digital elements.
With materials such as concrete on the walls, bleached oak wood on the floor, Corian and stone and glass details, here everything has been specified to the millimetre and detailed on plans before the house was built.
From the entrance hall there is direct access onto a patio comprising a made-to-measure dressing room and a toilet with resolutely designer features. Continue your visit through to the living room to be greeted by a bookshelf unit of impressive size, designed by Soraya DEFFAR. It contains many books, of course, but technical details are also hidden here: the Hi-Fi system and even a hidden door.
This matt lacquered cube invites you to nestle into the various sofas and chairs surrounding the fireplace, worked using silky and ribbed textiles... or why not take a stroll around the pool terrace to admire the various planted areas...
In the kitchen simplicity reigns, with work on noble yet sober materials. We decided to focus on the imposing SKYGARDEN light fitting, designed by Marcel WANDERS and produced by Flos.
This moulded piece is self-sufficient in creating the link with all the other areas of the house, visible from the panoramic glass façade.
Like a Paris museum, the house is also a playground for the great design icons we have succeeded in combining: Lamps by TOM DIXON, Table by CALLIGARIS, sideboard by BOCA DO LOBO and light fittings by COVET...
To make the place more cosy and warm up the atmosphere, Soraya DEFFAR has chosen an embroidered velvet wall hanging from ELITIS to decorate the stairwell and, for even more warmth … rendezvous in the spa, also hidden away here in this house which is bursting with gorgeous decoration ideas.
